Dr. Jack Andrews Dotsey is a transformational leader and visionary whose contributions to institutional growth and development span over two decades. He holds a PhD in Adult Education and Human Resource Studies from the University of Ghana, with research interests in governance, leadership, and community development. His passion for education and humanitarian service has driven his career as an educationist, development communication consultant, and management professional, consistently achieving organizational excellence.
Dr. Dotsey currently serves as the Executive Director of the University of Ghana Annual New Year School & Conference, a platform that fosters academic discourse and national development. He has in the last five years led the team in resource mobilization for the organization of the school and the introduction of the youth school as a new initiative. Additionally, he is the Deputy Director for Partnerships and Resource Mobilization and Project Coordinator for the Digital Youth Village project, a pioneering initiative at the University of Ghana aimed at advancing Ghana’s digital economy through youth empowerment and technological innovation.
Dr. Dotsey has served on the board of college of education and school of continuing and distance education. He also led the team to coordinate social science research and peace network conference hosted by the University of Ghana.
Beyond academia and institutional leadership, Dr. Dotsey is deeply committed to Rotary International. His service journey began as Rotaract President at the University of Ghana, where he played a key role in major Rotary events, including Ghana’s hosting of the Rotary International President . Inducted into the Rotary Club of Accra, he has held leadership roles such as assistant secretary, Projec Director, and Club Extension Committee member among others, contributing to the formation of multiple clubs across Ghana. His dedication to Rotary has earned him nominations and recognitions, including his selection as District Governor for the 2026/2027 Rotary year.
At the district and international levels, Dr. Dotsey has played strategic roles in youth development, international service, environmental sustainability, and community projects. He has been instrumental in initiatives such as the West Africa Project Fair, Rotary vaccination programs, and peace-building efforts. He also served as Africa Regional Coordinator for the Rotary International Presidential Peace Conference (2024) and currently leads as President of the West and Central Africa Rotary Positive Peace Activators.
As a major donor and Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Foundation, Dr. Dotsey actively supports scholarship programs, global grant projects, and initiatives such as the Project Clinic for the West Africa Project Fair. His exceptional service has been recognized with prestigious awards, including the 2024 Rotary International Presidential Peace Award, the 2021 Queen Elizabeth Platinum Jubilee Award, and the 2019 Vice Chancellor’s Award from the University of Ghana, 2018 Rotary International Meritorious Award for doing good in the world.
